Pets of the week: Nov. 15

The Daily Times staff
Duke

Dogs

Duke: This is a fun guy with an enthusiastic attitude. He is a 10-month-old American pit bull and terrier mix that is always on the go and is looking for the same in his new family. He needs a lot of exercise — running, hiking, long walks — anything that gets him moving. He is neutered and ready to go home today.

Red

Red: Red is a gentle guy with some training. He sits and shakes and listens to commands. He does not do well with other dogs, so we recommend that he be the only dog in the home. Red likes to be close to his people and can take some time to warm up to new people.  If you would like to meet Red, stop by the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter.

Cats

Norman: This handsome guy is Norman. He is a big cuddle bug. He likes to be held and loved. He is ready to find his new home today. He is neutered and chipped, and all you need to do is come adopt him.

Norman

Nura: This is sweet Nura. This lovely black kitty has mainly long fur. And wow is she soft! Sometimes, the shelter’s black cats are overlooked because they are not so colorful, which is a shame, especially in this case because Nura is a very nice cat and deserves a family who appreciates all her charms.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check Petfinder.com for a up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Nura

Horse

Panda: Panda is a 19-year-old black and white paint gelding. He is available for adoption as a pasture pal only.

He's a big guy, standing about 16.1 hands high and weighing about 1,200 pounds. Panda has very crooked front legs from the knee down and cannot be ridden. He does love his brushing though, and is a quiet, gentle horse.

Panda

Panda is current on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and farrier work. He leads very well and doesn't spook. Panda is in good shape and can be pastured during the summer. His adoption fee is $200.
