The Daily Times staff

Precious: Precious lives up to her name. She is precious, sweet and in need of a wonderful home. She has been at the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter for 174 days, and staff cannot figure out why. She loves people, does well with other dogs and plays fetch. She is the total package. Her adoption fee is $80, and she is ready to go home today.

Alsa: This is a sweet gal waiting for her forever home. She can be shy around people and is choosy of her dog friends.  She would like a home where she can have time to adjust since she has been at the shelter for 123 day. She likes rawhides and squeaky toys.  Please stop in at the shelter and ask to meet Alsa today.

Shadow: This gorgeous gal is sure to be the apple of your eye. Just five months old, Shadow was found as a stray. She has the softest black fur that contrasts against her bright eyes that will gaze at you so adoringly. She is very calm and quiet and is looking for a place to call home.

Elvira: If you are looking for a unique and special kitty, look no further; Elvira is your gal. This lovely 1-year-old stunner is not only beautiful with black, orange and white calico markings on her fur, but has the personality to match. She will rub up against the cage and you for more love. And the best part? She squeaks when she talks to you.The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Dusty: Dusty is a 25-year-old thoroughbred gelding. He came to Four Corners Equine Rescue when his elderly owner could no longer care for him.

Dusty is a tall guy, standing around 16.2 hands high. He is rideable, but only for light riding by a light rider.

He is full of spirit and energy that belies his age. The rider would need to know how to handle that energy. He is very responsive to riding cues.

Due to his age, Dusty receives most of his nutrition in the form of a mash three times a day. He is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, farrier work and teeth floating.

His adoption includes a six-month probationary period to ensure he is fitting into his new home. His adoption fee is $200.
