Pets of the Week: Sept. 27

The Daily Times staff

Emily: Emily is a 4-year-old female pit mix with boundless energy who is intent on stealing your heart. She is good with people and does well with most dogs. She would love a home where she can be a part of the family and get daily exercise and love. Her adoption fee is $80, and she is ready to go home today, so stop in and meet her.

Kacie Mae

Kacie Mae: This is a friendly, loving and playful girl. She loves her toys and loves playing fetch — as in absolutely loves it! She can play fetch for hours and still want to play more. She loves her toys so much that sometimes she eats them, so she will need to be watched when she plays with them just to make sure they stay out of her tummy. As you can see from her pictures, she loves water, too. If you are looking for a companion that is up for playtime and swimming, Kacie Mae is your gal. She is great with kids and gets along with most dogs after a good introduction. Kacie Mae’s adoption fee is $80 and includes her micro-chip and first vaccine (doesn’t include rabies). Come ask to see her today.

Precious: Meet Precious. Her name matches her personality. She is sweet, yet playful and energetic. She loves to be pet and is is very affectionate. She does well with other dogs and is looking for her forever home. Precious's adoption fee is $80, and she is ready to go home today.

Rafael: Rafael is a happy, playful, fun-loving guy who loves the water and playing fetch. He is a 1-year-old shepherd mix looking for a home. Stop in to meet Rafael today. His adoption fee is $80.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check for a up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Callie: Callie is a gentle 6-year-old pony. She is somewhat shy around people, but does like her brushing.

Because of an injury to her left rear leg, Callie is unable to be ridden. She could easily be a companion to a gentle horse. Callie can't kick because of her injury, and therefore cannot defend herself from rowdy horses.

She is the mother of two horses at Four Corners Equine Rescue, Smokey and Cisco. Callie was captured while she had a baby at her side and was pregnant. She is from the Tierra Amarilla area, where she was running with a band of wild horses.

Callie is trained to halter, lead and stand for the farrier. She is current on vaccinations, deworming and farrier work. Her adoption fee is $250.
