Pets of the Week: May 17

Dogs
Tontin: Tontin is a shy, 2-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix. He walks well on a leash, but takes time to warm up to new people. Come by and take him for a walk to see his true personality shine. Tontin’s adoption fee will be $80, and he can go home today.
Zoey: This is a tiny 3-year-old female Chihuahua looking for a quiet home. The loud noises of the shelter are a bit much for her. Come spend some time one-on-one with her. Since Zoey has not been spayed yet, she will need to stay the night.
Cats
Bruno: This is a big beautiful male cat. He is looking for his forever home. He is already neutered and ready to go home. Come meet him today.
Lucy: Do you have an empty windowsill or a bunch of love to give? If so, sweet Lucy needs it. She has had a rough time and ready for a forever home. Shes likes to play with feather toys and loves cuddle time.
The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check Petfinder.com for a up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.
Horse
Sampson is a 6-year-old gelding from the Gallup area.
Sorrel in color, Sampson is stocky, with excellent confirmation and stands about 14.3 hands high. He is halter trained, loads and stands for the farrier. Sampson has been started under saddle.
The ideal home for Sampson would continue his saddle training using natural horsemanship techniques. Sampson has been abused in the past and needs a calm and steady hand. He is up to date on vaccinations, farrier work and deworming, and his adoption fee is $500.
