Pets of the Week: March 22

Farmington Daily Times

Bridgewater: This is an active young heeler looking for an active family to adopt him.  He is playful and full of spunk and energy. He likes to run and play, and he would love to go hiking and camping and explore the great outdoors with his new family.

Pepper: Pepper is a sweet girl with a great personality. She loves everyone she meets. She is great and playful with other dogs.  She has called the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter home for way too long and deserves a forever home. She likes toys and plays fetch very well.  Come meet Pepper today.

Ashes: This is a sweet long-haired cat that had too many mats in his fur and had to be shaved down. Now, he is looking for a new owner who will take the time to brush him once his beautiful hair grows back.  He is neutered and ready to go home today.

Shy Shy: Shy Shy lives up to her name. She can be very timid and shy at first, and she needs a home that will be patient with her while she adjusts to her new surroundings.  If you would like to add Shy Shy to your family, come visit her today.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check for a up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Chance: Chance is a 7-year-old thoroughbred gelding. He came to Four Corners Equine Rescue after breaking his leg while training at a race track. His leg is all healed now, and Chance is ready to move on to a new home.

Due to his leg, Chance is best suited to a life of casual trail riding. He stands about 16 hands high and is a kind and gentle horse. He always walks over to greet people who come into his pen, and he enjoys attention.

Chance has not been saddle trained “off the track” and will need a person to teach him these new skills. Chance is current on vaccinations, teeth floating, farrier work and deworming.

His adoption fee is $500 and includes four lessons with a professional trainer.
