Pets of the Week: March 8

By The Daily Times staff

Wallabee: Wallabee is ready and anxious to find his forever home. He loves cuddles and would enjoy hugs and a perch to call his own. Give Wallabee the chance to win your heart. Come meet him today.

Alley: Alley is super charming with her beautiful gray fur and gorgeous green eyes. She may be a bit feisty, but she is also very sweet and loves to be cuddled and petted. The shelter staff have not noticed anything to indicate that Alley does not like other cats. They have noticed she never seems to make any sounds, besides the occasionally soft meow. Alley is regal and ever charming. Please give her a chance to win you over.

Sirena: Sirena is a sweet girl who came to us because her owner was unable to keep her. She loves to snuggle up in a lap and relax. Sirena seems a bit anxious, so a home that can provide the attention she craves would be awesome. Give this cute girl a chance to warm your heart.

Bear: Bear is a gentle, sweet gal who seems to be a little nervous here at the shelter. She is looking for a home where she can take time to adjust. She loves to be around people and does well with other dogs.  If you have room in your heart and home for Bear, come meet her today.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check for a up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Smokey: Smokey is a 4-year-old gelding that was born in the wild. His mother is Callie, a small black mare who was captured around the El Rito area when she strayed onto private land.

Smokey is a pony, standing about 13 hands high. He retains his mustang instincts and will need a person who is willing to spend time bonding with him using natural horsemanship techniques. He leads, loads and stands for the farrier.

Smokey's adoption fee includes four lessons for him and his owner with a professional trainer. His adoption fee is $250.
