The Daily Times staff

Clementine: Clementine is the whole package. She's smart, happy, social and athletic. This outgoing girl doesn't know a stranger and clearly loves people. Her enthusiasm when greeting people can be a bit over the top, and she tends to want to jump up to say hello. She is eager to find her new home.

Avanti: Avanti is a sweet little terrier mix looking for a new family to call her own. She can be timid around new people, so please go slowly and give her the chance to warm up to you. She is spayed and ready to go home today.

Socks: Socks is a beautiful cat with gorgeous markings. She has an independent personality and likes to explore her surroundings. After an afternoon of playtime, she likes to curl up and sleep in the sun. Come meet her today and find a friend for life.

Tori: Tori is a gorgeous, long-haired tortoiseshell cat. She likes to be petted and loves all the attention you will give her. She will curl up next to you and purr and purr. Come adopt and take her home.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check for a up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Cooper: Cooper was once a wild colt roaming free in the Thoreau area. Now he is a curious, albeit skeptical, 6-year-old gelding who lives at Four Corners Equine Rescue.

Cooper halters and stands for the farrier. He stands about 15 hands high and weighs about 800 pounds. His animated trot is beautiful to watch. The perfect home would be with a person willing to spend the time to grow the trust needed to continue his training using natural horsemanship techniques.

Cooper is current on vaccinations, deworming and hoof care. The adoption fee for Cooper is $400 includes six sessions with a professional trainer for horse and human.
