Pets of the Week: Dec. 29

The Daily Times staff

Melina: Melina is a sweet 1-year-old retriever mix. She can be a little timid in the shelter environment but would blossom in a home. She walks slowly on a leash but is getting better every day. Stop in and visit with her to see her true personality. Her adoption fee is $80.

Petunia: Meet Petunia. This little sweetie is overwhelmed here. She sits in your lap and shivers while watching what is going on around her. It's easy to visualize her in a quiet home with a single adult or couple who would enjoy spending time with a lovely shy, quiet small dog. A calm place to relax would do wonders for this cute little girl. Petunia’s adoption fee is $80.

Sausage: Sausage is a sweet playful gal looking for a forever home. She like to cuddle and play with other cats. If you are looking for a beautiful cat, look no further. Come in and meet Sausage today.

Tom: Tom is a handsome cat who is very sweet and affectionate but might not be able to show it right away. It takes him a few days in a safe cozy corner to acclimate to his new surroundings, but then he comes out of his shell and blossoms into a curious friendly boy who wants to follow you around the house. Come met Tom today.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check for a up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Beau: Beau is looking for a home that is willing to spend time teaching him to accept new things. Life with people has not been good to Beau. He has some scarring on both back legs from getting caught in wire and a scar across his nose from a halter that was embedded in his face.

At only 3 years old, Beau needs somebody who will believe in him. He's a small horse and will probably mature to about 14.3 hands high. He is now halter trained and current on vaccinations, deworming and farrier work.

The adoption fee for Beau is $250 and includes four lessons on ground work with a professional trainer.
