Wednesday workshops:The Bonnie Dallas Senior Center will offer "Manage Your Chronic Disease," a free chronic disease self-management program, on Wednesdays, Jan. 6 through Feb. 10 at the Activity Center, 208 N. Wall Ave. The workshops are designed for people with chronic disease and their caregivers.

Workshop participants must go to at least one of the first two sessions. The first week will focus on introducing the workshop and the participants, as well as the importance of getting a good night's sleep and action plans, which will be created during each session. The second session will focus on feedback and problem-solving, dealing with difficult emotions, physical activity, preventing falls and improving balance. The third week will be about decision making, managing pain and fatigue, endurance exercise and relaxation. The fourth session will focus on breathing, eating, communicating and problem-solving. The fifth week will be on food choices, medication, treatment, depression and positive thinking. The final week will focus on working with health care professionals and organizations, managing weight and looking back and planning for the future.

Lunch: The Bloomfield Senior Center serves lunch from noon to 1 p.m. weekdays at the center, 124 W. Ash Ave. At-home meal delivery is available to seniors 60 and older who are medically homebound. More information: 505-632-8351
