Pets of the Week: Dec. 15

The Daily Times staff

Moe

Dogs

Moe: Moe is an older Chihuahua who wants most of all to sit on your lap and be petted. He is a timid little guy and is really feeling overwhelmed at the shelter. If you would like to give Moe a forever home this holiday, stop on in and visit with him.

BB

BB: BB has been here 242 days, and we want her to wake up this Christmas in a new home. She is a playful, energetic gal who just wants a family to love. BB is a ticket-out dog so when you adopt her you will receive six free training sessions with New Mexico Badlands Search and Rescue. To meet BB, stop by the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter today.

Cats

Patriot

Patriot: Patriot has that sleek look but is as loving and sweet as can be. He is extremely affectionate and will lean into your hand while you pet him to maximize the snuggles. Patriot will have to stay the night to get neutered but is anxious to find his new home.

Lori

Lori: Lori is a playful kitten who is looking for a place to call home. She likes to run and play and gets along with other cats. She is very curious and loves to play with balls of yarn. If you think your home has room for Lori, stop by and adopt her today.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check Petfinder.com for a up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Horse

Chance

Chance: Chance is a 7-year-old thoroughbred gelding. He came to Four Corners Equine Rescue in 2012 after breaking his leg while in training at a race track. His leg is all healed now, and Chance is ready to move on to a new home.

Due to his leg, Chance is best suited to a life of casual trail riding. He stands about 16 hands high and is a kind and gentle horse. He always walks over to greet people who come into his pen, and he enjoys attention.

Chance has not been saddle trained “off the track” and will need a person to teach him these new skills. Chance is current on vaccinations, teeth floating, farrier work and deworming. Adoption fee for Chance is $500. The adoption fee includes four lessons with adopter, and Chance with a professional trainer.
