Smith

Dogs

Smith: If any dog deserves a home for the holidays, it would be Smith. Smith was found in a Dumpster left to die. He was rescued and brought to the shelter. We have watched as his personality has blossomed. He is a loving, sweet-hearted dog that needs a loving home that will love and nurture him for the rest of his life. Smith is still a little unsure of where his next meal will come from, so he gets into trash cans and counter surfs, so he will need an owner who will be patient and help teach him how to be a dog again. To meet Smith, stop by and we can let you visit this wonderful dog. Help Smith's Christmas wish come true.

Pepper

Pepper: Pepper is a sweet, older gal looking for a home to retire in. She is mellow, and at 12 years old is past the puppy stage. She like to go for short walks and walks very well on a leash. If you are looking for a companion that is not too active, look no further.

Cats

Taffy

Taffy: Taffy is a lovable one-year-old orange tabby. She likes to cuddle, and once you starting paying attention to her, her purr motor starts. She is already spayed and ready to go home.

Joy

Joy: Everyone needs a little Joy in their life. Joy is a cute, five-month-old, long-haired black kitten. She is very playful and curious. She plays well with people and other cats. She has not been around dogs. If you are looking for a little Joy in your life this holiday season, stop in and adopt Joy today. She is ready to go.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check Petfinder.com for an up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Horse

Buff

Buff: Buff is a 4-year-old gelding that stands about 13.2 hands high. He came to Four Corners Equine Rescue as a yearling after being rescued by Albuquerque police when they responded to a commercial burglary and found five starving horses.

Buff has been trained to pull a two-wheel cart. He is gentle, quiet and friendly with people.

The adoption includes four lessons with the trainer on driving a cart. Buff is current on vaccinations and farrier work. Adoption fee for Buff is $500.
