Anniversary: Emilio and Ambrocia Herrera
Emilio and Ambrocia Herrera, of Coyote, celebrated their golden 50th wedding anniverary on Nov. 27 with a family vacation in June to California. In December, the family will also travel to New Orleans.
Emilio met Ambrocia Herrera through childhood friends. The couple was married Nov. 27, 1965, in Coyote.
Emilio is a self-employed rancher, and Ambrocia is retired from New Mexico Department of Health/WIC Nutrition Office in Farminton. They enjoy spending time with family, traveling, volunteering their time at San Juan de Bautista Catholic Church in Coyote and spending time in the mountains.
The couple has three children, retired Master Sgt. Darren Herrera, of Coyote, Karla (Adrian II) Sayler and Amy (Thomas) Vermersch, both of Aztec; eight grandchildren, Devin Herrera, Dominic Herrera, Adrian Sayler III, Aundrea Sayler, Alysha Sayler, Alaina Sayler, Keara Vermersch and Kaiden Vermersch; and one great-grandchild, Roman DeHerrera.
