Pets of the Week: Nov. 17

The Daily Times staff

Chips: Chips came to the shelter in August as a new mom. She did a great job of raising her babies but is now looking for her forever home. Chips is a little more than one year old and has lots of personality. She likes to play and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Chips is on the small side, only weighing about 30 pounds. If you think Chips is the one, come met her today.

Alder: Meet Alder. This little guy thinks he is a big guy and has lots of energy, an energetic attitude, curiosity and energy to spare. He is a real cutie and is busy exploring and surveying his domain. Still, he finds time to sit in laps and soak up some hugs and loves. Come meet Alder today.

Woodstock: Woodstock is cool, calm and collected. He is a handsome, 1-year-old Siamese looking for a loving home and family to call his own. He is a pretty cool cat. He seems very independent and knows how to give love back when given to him by purring and letting you pet and hold him. This mellow little guy does need to stay overnight so he can be neutered before his lucky fur parents can safely take him to his new forever home.

Bethany: If you are ready for a new friend, Bethany may be the one for you. Give this love bug some attention and love, she will be your best pal. This sweet girl is in need of a forever home.

The Farmington Animal Shelter is located at 133 Browning Parkway and can be reached at 505-599-1098. Check for an up-to-date list of pets up for adoption.

Nugget is a 10-year-old Appaloosa gelding. He has finished his ground training and is completing his 30 days of trail training. Nugget is a quiet, gentle horse. But he is still green and will require an experienced rider. He is about 14.3 hands high and has good bone structure. Adoption fee for Nugget is $500 and includes four lessons for horse and rider.
