Sandstone Productions opens its summer theater presentation of "Shrek the Musical" at 8 tonight at the Lions Wilderness Park Amphitheater, 5800 College Blvd. in Farmington. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, and $7 for children. Dinner is available. Performances will be held every Thursday through Saturday through July 29. The Farmington Cinematheque Series presents a screening of the film "The Zookeeper's Wife" at 7 p.m. Friday in the Little Theatre on the San Juan College campus, 4601 College Blvd. in Farmington. The 2017 drama is based on the novel of the same name by Diane Ackerman and stars Jessica Chastain, Johan Heldenbergh, Michael McElhatton and Daniel Bruhl. It is rated PG-13. A history hike of Engineer Mountain north of Durango, Colo., leaves from the Farmington Museum at Gateway Park, 3041 E. Main St., at 8 a.m. Saturday.
