FARMINGTON — The Mann Dance Academy will hold auditions this weekend for the lead dancer roles in its seventh annual production of "The Nutcracker" in December.

The auditions will take place Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Mann Dance Academy, 1200 Schofield Lane in Farmington. Advanced level auditions are set for 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Intermediate level auditions are from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., and intermediate/advanced auditions are from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Youth level auditions are from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

All dancers must be enrolled in ballet to audition and have pre-requisite choreography coaching. All dancers must be able to attend Saturday rehearsals until the show goes on stage. Judges will consist of a panel of dance-trained professionals.

"The Nutcracker" will be performed Saturday, Dec. 12 in the Henderson Fine Arts Center on the San Juan College campus, 4601 College Blvd. in Farmington. Performance times are 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at San Juan Collage theater box office. Prices are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Special group rates for clubs and organizations are available with pre-approval.
