Performers sought for San Juan College music groups

FARMINGTON — The San Juan College Music Department is seeking musicians to join its instrumental ensembles.

Players are being sought for the orchestra, jazz big band and symphonic band. There are also opportunities for jazz and rock combos. String, woodwind, brass, percussion or rhythm section jazz players are encouraged to join.

The orchestra meets from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Monday. The jazz big band meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and the symphonic band meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. High school students who read music well are also welcome and can get credit through their high school counselor.
