FARMINGTON — The San Juan County Sheriff's Office released photos Wednesday of several potential witnesses sought for questioning in connection to the murder of Daniel Boone in January 2014.

Detective Lt. Kyle Lincoln said Wednesday that the individuals featured in the surveillance footage photos likely visited the Circle K convenience store in Flora Vista at the same time Boone was there.

Boone and the other individuals were at the convenience store before Boone was shot to death at his residence.

"We are just trying to find out who they are to see if they saw anything at the store," Lincoln said.

Dispatchers were contacted at 8:47 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, about reports of shots fired and screams at Boone's home at No. 5 County Road 3235.

Boone, 28, was found dead of several gunshot wounds.

Boone had no criminal history in San Juan County and worked as a laborer for Kelly Cable of New Mexico before his death.

Lincoln said detectives are still trying to identify suspects in the shooting.
