Joe Harold Wood


Joe went home to be with his Heavenly Father Wednesday, October 6, 2021. He was born in Borger, Texas on October 17, 1945. He is survived by his wife Dale & son Trevor, son Brent, daughter Amie and husband Glenn of Cedar City, Utah. Grandchildren Austin, Tyler, Jenny, Max & Amanda and numerous nephews & nieces. He was preceded in death by son Eric in 2004 and his parents TJ and Ida Wood of Farmington. Farmington family includes Sister Ida Mae & brother-in-law Jerry Damron, Niece Natalie and husband Gary Riley, Nephew Steve Damron and wife Laurel. Great nephew Chris and wife Shelby Riley. Great great niece Braelynn and & great great nephew Baylor Riley. Also Mother-in-Law Helen Kavafes, Sister- in -Law Leslie Mirro of Florida, Brother-in-law Scott Santmyers & wife Judy of Las Vegas, Nevada. Many nieces and nephews in Florida. Joe grew up in Farmington and graduated From FHS in 1964 and was known for his outstanding athletic abilities. He left behind many friends in Farmington when he moved to California in 1974 to pursue a career in Construction. San Juan Capistrano was his home for over 30yrs. Joe loved golfing and spending time with family & friends. A family Internment was held Monday, June 13, 2022 @ Memory Gardens in Farmington. A Memorial Fund has been established in his memory to benefit his son Trevor’s group home. Donations can be mailed to: Independent Choices: 391 Corporate Terrace Circle, suite 102, Corona, CA 92879.
