Christopher Allen Blackwell

Christopher Allen Blackwell "Whiteboy", 44, was chosen by God to pass into Heaven on January 05, 2022. Our hearts were not ready for him to go, but find comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place. Chris was welcomed into this world on February 20, 1977 in Durango, Colorado but considered himself a native of Aztec, New Mexico, as that is where he resided for most of his life. Chris carried a great sense of humor and he was able to make anyone laugh, even if it wasn't from his humor, but by his contagious laugh. Although his life was taken from us too soon, he stands in our hearts as a reminder of strength, perseverance, love, and compassion. We will mourn his loss daily and know we will be reunited in time.

Christopher is survived by his mom and dad, Donna and Iley; his two children, Iley and Shyann; his sister, Marinda; his brother Shawn; his step-siblings, Miryah, Lara, Caleb, and Jacob; his beloved partner, Amanda; his nieces and nephew, Kayla, Chelsea, Nicole, and Devon; and his aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

He preceded in death by his biological father and step-mother, David and Vicky.

Christopher requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. If you knew Chris, those were not his exact words, he requested a "big party" in honor of his life. We request all of Chris's loved ones to join us in the celebration of his life. The date and location will be announced at a later time, as our family is still making arrangements and planning the details. Donations may be made to Animas Credit Union under Donna Blackwell and Christopher Blackwell, Account number 1011475, in lieu of flowers.
