Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities.
• Animas River: Water flow below Aztec on Monday morning was 93.2 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
• Lake Farmington: Fishing was slow but there were a few bass caught by anglers using crank baits and drop shot rigs.
• Navajo Lake: Fishing was good using tubes, curly tail grubs, crank baits, jerk baits and top water lures for smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. Fishing was good using top water lures, chatter baits, jerk baits and crank baits for northern pike. Fishing was very good using worms, grubs and small crank baits for perch. A few rainbow trout were caught by anglers using PowerBait and marshmallows. We had no other reports.
• San Juan River: Stream flow on Monday morning was 761 cfs. Fly fishing action through the Quality waters was good for anglers using RS2s, root beers, jujus, emergers, red annelids, San Juan worms, dead chickens, Adams, comparaduns and small bead-head pheasant tail nymphs. Trout fishing through the bait waters was fair to good using night crawlers, PowerBait, San Juan worms, jerk baits, wooly buggers and Panther Martin spinners.
