Annual Boo-ouldering Competition welcomes costumed participants

Young climbing enthusiasts and their families were decked out in Halloween costumes Monday for the annual Boo-ouldering Competition at the Health and Human Performance Center on the San Juan College campus in Farmington.

The annual event was open to climbers 5 years old through adulthood, with the competition split into several categories. Prizes were awarded for the best costumes as participants celebrated Halloween by scaling the center's 600-square-foot bouldering cave and climbing wall routes that are designed for beginners through experts.
