The Aztec girls soccer team picked up a 10-0 victory against Bloomfield Tuesday.

Head coach Stephen Parks said he was happy with the effort his team gave in the victory.

"We expect to go out and play," Parks said. "Today, we executed our game plan and this was the result."

Tyra Gabehart and Rikki Newland led the Lady Tigers with two goals apiece. Kayli Farmer, Lacy Garcia, Emily McDonald, Haile Morris, Chelsea Murch and Sarah Root added a goal each.

The balance of the Aztec attack is something Parks said will be a key to his team's success this season.

"If you have several girls that can put the ball in the net like we do, they can't just mark one or two players," he said. "They have to worry about the whole team."

Aztec's next game will be at Belen on Friday. Bloomfield returns to action Saturday at Bosque.
