Sun-News report

SILVER CITY >> Check out our new look online.

For weeks, we've been dusting off our old website and shaking out some of the cobwebs. We've heard from readers who want more local news, easier navigation and a cleaner look.

Today, you get your first look at our new design. Log on to scsun-news.com and take a look.

Some things we hope you'll like:

Larger photos and type.

The popular Media Center, with our photo galleries from events around the region, is now easier to find and enjoy.

Our home page and section pages are more easily read, and bring the most current offerings to the forefront to keep you on top of what's happening in your community.

We've added video to our daily offerings to bring you closer to the people in our stories.

Our most important articles of the day will always be viewable on the home page, as will your favorite section pages.

In addition, we've made it easier to find the information you count on the Sun-News to bring you on a daily basis - obituaries, opinions, news, sports, entertainment, business and lifestyle.

You can also find all of our content on our app, available for free download at the App Store and the Google Play Store.

In coming weeks, we will continue to improve this site with you in mind. Soon we will have sections devoted to news from around New Mexico and the Borderland from our partner papers across the state and in El Paso, all in one convenient location. We may be doing the work, but we know this is truly your website, and we want you to help us make it what you want it to be. Take a look, poke around, let us know what you think and we'll continue to improve the Silver City Sun-News and scsun-news.com to suit your needs.

Send your feedback to Online Editor Jason Gibbs, jgibbs@lcsun-news.com. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you like what you see.
