FARMINGTON — A 29-year-old Bloomfield woman was found dead south of Farmington over the weekend. 

 The San Juan County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of Brandy Robinson as a homicide. Deputies were dispatched to an area south of Farmington city limits at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The call was in reference to a homicide, according to a San Juan County Sheriff's Office news release. Robinson was stabbed to death, according to the news release. 

The sheriff's office declined to release additional information about her death, including where the body was found, because of the ongoing investigation. 

 Beth Utley, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office, said that no person had been charged with murder or another crime or been taken into custody in connection to Robinson's death.

She declined to say if investigators had identified a suspect. 

Robinson's family declined to comment.
