Sadie Bigboy and Daniel Bigboy, both of Farmington, announce the engagement of their daughter, Monique Martinez, of Farmington, to John Weston III, of Albuquerque.

Weston is the son of John Weston II and Guadalupe Bevan, both of Albuquerque. He is a 1998 graduate of West Mesa High School, Albuquerque, and is employed by Frito Lay.

Martinez is a 1999 graduate of Farmington High School and a graduate of the cosmetology program at San Juan College. She is employed by Great Clips.

The couple met through a mutual friend. Weston proposed June 24, 2007, at sunset in Berg Park.

A June 21 wedding is planned at Word of Life Christian Center in Farmington
