FARMINGTON — The Farmington High and Piedra Vista swimming and diving season came to a close last weekend.

The Scorpions and Panthers wrapped up their campaign at the New Mexico State Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at the Albuquerque Academy Natatorium.

The PV divers put up the best results for any Farmington athletes with Ammon Seavey finishing eighth and Taylor Winer placing 12th in the boys 1-meter.

The Lady Scorpions Raimi Clark placed 12th in the girls 1-meter diving competition and was 14th in the 200-yard individual Medley.

The FHS boys 400-yard freestyle relay team made up of Jeb Pinckley, Nathan Isaacson, Tyler Kitseallyboy and Hance Clark finished in 14th place.

The FHS girls team finished in 21st place with a team total of 8 points, while the Scorpion boys finished 24th with 6 points.

The Panther boys ended the meet in 21st as a team with 16 points.

Eldorado High won the girls team championship, while Cibola High took the boys title.
