FARMINGTON — A 46-year-old Farmington woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after crashing her vehicle in front of the San Juan County Adult Detention Center in Farmington.
Christina Culver, the driver of the truck, was booked into the detention center on charges of aggravated driving, careless driving and negligent use of a deadly weapon.
The San Juan County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that a deputy discovered a pickup truck overturned outside the detention center at 871 Andrea Drive shortly before midnight on Monday. The truck came to a rest on top of sparking electrical lines, which started a small brush fire, the release states.
Fire personnel extricated two people from the truck, and they were transported to the San Juan Regional Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Several empty alcohol containers and a gun were located in the truck, the release states.
The district attorney's office has not yet filed charges, according to court records.
Culver was expected to appear Tuesday at the district court in Aztec for a sentencing hearing stemming from an arrest in March for methamphetamine possession, the release states. She is being held on a $1,600 bond.
