FARMINGTON — Farmington City Council approved its final budget revisions at its Tuesday evening meeting, and now city administrators are requesting state approval.
Council passed the resolution without any comments or objections.
The fiscal year 2015 budget includes $252.9 million in spending.
The budget's total revenue is $215 million, and its beginning cash balance is $108.1 million.
Councilor Mary Fischer has said the budget does not meet the community's needs, but councilors Dan Darnell and Gayla McCulloch have said the budget was well planned and conservative.
Meetings to solicit public input were held in May, and few members of the public attended several of the meetings. Councilor Nate Duckett has said he wants the city to find more way to get people involved in the process.
