The FBI and Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety are asking for the community's help in finding the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed an unidentified man near Shiprock on Sunday night.

The man's body was found at approximately 9:26 p.m. on Mesa Farm Road, about six miles west of Shiprock, on the Navajo reservation, according to a press release. Locally, the area is known as "the second wash before the old end of the pavement."

Investigators would like to talk to anyone who may have been in the area around the time the man's body was found. The man's name is being withheld pending a positive identification.
