FARMINGTON — A 44-year-old man was transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington after a crash on Tuesday.
The crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. on Piñon Hills Boulevard, according to a press release from the Farmington Police Department.
The driver was traveling west near Beckland Drive and College Boulevard when his car crossed onto the median and drove a significant distance before returning to the westbound lane, according to the press release.
As it returned to the correct lane, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and it veered into the eastbound lanes, according to the press release. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to a crash.
The driver was transported by ambulance to the hospital with a laceration to the top of the head and a possible neck injury.
One passenger was in the car but did not have significant injuries.
Police suspect fatigue was a factor in the crash. No alcohol was involved, according to the press release.
