FARMINGTON — Farmington police searched Piedra Vista High School Thursday morning after threatening graffiti was found in a bathroom stall.

A teacher found the graffiti and notified school administrators around 10 a.m., according to a Farmimngton Police Department press release.

Officers searched the campus but did not find any potential threats.

The police department and the high school are taking steps to ensure the students' safety, according to the press release, including having additional officers patrol the school throughout the week.

Additional details about the nature of the graffiti were not released on Thursday.
