FARMINGTON — A Shiprock man was sentenced to two years in prison on Tuesday for statutory rape.
Lancelot Lapahie, 26, was arrested in November 2013 for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a child younger than 16 between August 2010 and December 2011, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
He pleaded guilty to statutory rape in February.
The two-year sentence will be served concurrently with a four-year prison sentence Lapahie is already serving for two assault charges and possession of an unregistered firearm.
Lapahie was sentenced to four years in prison this month after he pleaded guilty to attacking a man with a baseball bat and repeatedly striking another man in the head, arms and body with a machete, according to the press release.
The man who was hit with the machete also was stabbed and suffered cuts to his head, face, forearm, leg and back during the attack, according to the press release.
