FARMINGTON — The Bureau of Land Management is extending the public comment period on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the San Juan Basin Energy Connect Project in New Mexico and Colorado, according to press release.
A Notice of Availability for the draft statement was published in the Federal Register on March 14.
Comments about the proposed project will be accepted until May 20.
The proposed project is a 65-mile, 230-kilovolt electric transmission line from near Waterflow to Igancio, Colo., and substation in San Juan County.
