FARMINGTON — The Region II Narcotics Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration have teamed up to give people the opportunity to get rid of unwanted, unused and expired prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

As part of National Drug Take Back Day, medications can be disposed of at eight locations across San Juan County, including the sheriff's office substations located at 6 County Road 6360 in Kirtland and 21 County Road 5500 in Bloomfield; both Walmart locations at 1400 W. Main St. and 4600 E. Main St. in Farmington; both Walgreens sites at 701 E. 20th St. and 4221 E. Main St. in Farmington; Safeway at 415 N. Main Ave. in Aztec and the Farmers Market at 401 W. Broadway Ave. in Bloomfield.

Only pills and patches will be accepted.
