FARMINGTON — Children across San Juan County this weekend will have ample opportunities to fill their baskets with brightly colored Easter eggs.

The fun begins with perhaps the biggest egg hunt in the county, Farmington's annual Easter EGGStravaganza.

Activities will begin at 9 a.m. today at the Sycamore Park Community Center, 1051 Sycamore St. in Farmington.

More than 40,000 eggs will be up for grabs by all age groups throughout the park starting at 10 a.m.

Besides hunting for eggs, the free event will include food vendors, carnival games, photo booths, gunny sack races and a dance contest hosted by KWYK's Nolan Crowell at 11 a.m. Kids can also have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
