FARMINGTON — A Farmington woman was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison on April 2 for robbing a Shiprock restaurant.

Jerrileta Singer, 33, and co-defendant, Eddie Shirley, 28, of Shiprock, allegedly robbed a Sonic drive-in at gunpoint in November 2012, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice.

Singer pleaded guilty to the robbery charge in July 2013 and admitted to robbing four people who were at the restaurant and taking money from the restaurant, according to the press release. In addition to the 18 months in prison, Singer was sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay $400 in restitution.

Shirley pleaded guilty in June 2013 to a firearms charge after he admitted to brandishing a firearm during the robbery, according to the press release.

He was sentenced in September 2013 to seven years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
