FARMINGTON — Farmington police arrested a man on suspicion that he cut two other men at a Farmington apartment complex on Sunday night.
Richard Williams, 51, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident. On Monday, he was in custody at the San Juan County Adult Detention Center on a $25,000 bond, Georgette Allen, a Farmington police spokeswoman, said.
Police were called to Apple Ridge Apartments, 1600 Cliffside Drive, at about 7 p.m. Williams lived at the complex but the battery happened at another residence, Allen said.
Williams allegedly cut two men with a knife. One of the men was taken to San Juan Regional Medical Center for stitches on his arm. The other was treated at the scene, Allen said.
Police didn't release the names of the alleged victims.
"Witnesses reported there wasn't a clear reason" for the battery, Allen said.
