FARMINGTON — Five young adults were arrested after they were allegedly involved in a mugging on Monday on Dustin Avenue near Brookside Park, according to a Farmington police news release.

Farmington police said they responded to an armed robbery in the area at 11:30 a.m. A group of men approached a 35-year-old Kirtland man and demanded his "valuables," according to the press release. The man wasn't injured and his identify wasn't released.

Police said they later arrested five suspects in a vehicle near Navajo Street and Vine Avenue.

Andrew Brockney, 20, Jona Romero, 18, and Aaron Jackson, 20, were charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Two unnamed male juveniles, one 16 and the 17 years old, were also arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Police declined to release information about a weapon.
