FARMINGTON — Firefighters pulled a man's body from the Animas River on Friday afternoon, Farmington police said.

At about 11:45 a.m., a woman walking in Animas Park spotted the body and called police, Farmington police Cpl. Guy Postlewait said.

Police haven't identified the man. He didn't have any identification on him, and police didn't recognize him, he said.

There will be an autopsy tomorrow, Postlewait said.

"There was no obvious signs of trauma," he said.

Anyone with information about the death is asked to contact Farmington police through police dispatch at 505-334-6622.
