FARMINGTON — San Juan College is hosting an annual statewide theater festival that begins Thursday.

Nearly 400 students from 19 high schools will show off their talents and compete for awards, all while learning more about theater at the college's Henderson Fine Arts Center, 4601 College Blvd.

The public can watch the students during the 20th annual San Juan College Four Corners High School Theatre Festival and the 13th Annual New Mexico Activities Association State One Act Play Competition.

Dates and times of events are:

· 1 to 6 p.m. Nov. 7: Monologue, acting and musical theater performance competition. Finals will be 7:30 to 9 p.m.

· 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 8: One-act play competition

· 12:30 to 5 p.m. Nov. 9: One-act play competition
