FARMINGTON — A 24-year-old Farmington man was injured Thursday night after he crashed his motorcycle at Broadway Boulevard and West Main Street.
At about 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Louis Fayad was driving west on Main Street and crashed when he entered part of the road that is being repaved. Witnesses said he was traveling at a very high rate of speed, and he wasn't wearing a helmet, said Farmington police Sgt. Casey Malone.
Malone said Fayad fell off his bike and hit his head on a curb.
Fayad was in critical condition at San Juan Regional Medical Center on Friday evening, said Kathryn Pettijohn, a hospital spokeswoman.
Preliminary tests at the hospital show that Sayad had been drinking alcohol, Malone said.
