FARMINGTON — Farmington's Life Care Center recently achieved a deficiency-free designation after a state survey in July, according to a press release.
The nursing and rehabilitation facility is located at 1101 W. Murray Drive.
"I am very proud of our team," said Brenda Dostaler, executive director. "A great deal of diligent, dedicated hard work goes into ensuring that appropriate quality care and recordkeeping are at the forefront of all we do."
To pass the annual state survey, nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria that address not only nursing care and resident safety, but also patients' rights, food services, administration and the building's physical condition. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care and interviewing residents and associates.
"By taking care of our associates and providing positive leadership with a focus on education and skill building, we are able to work together effectively as a team and provide patient-centered care," Dostaler said.
