FARMINGTON — A man who police say was intoxicated was run over by a car Tuesday afternoon.
At about 1 p.m., police were dispatched to Largo Street and Sierra Vista Drive on report of an intoxicated man walking in the middle of the street, according to a news release.
While officers were on their way to the scene, the man was reportedly hit by a car.
The man, who has been identified as Matthew Myers, passed out on the sidewalk just before a resident pulled into her driveway, according to police. A parked vehicle blocked her view, and the woman did not see Myers on the ground when she ran him over, police said.
Myers was trapped under the car, and the Farmington Fire Department used air bags to lift the car off of him.
The extent of his injuries is not known, though he did complain of injuries to his back and pelvis.
Citations are pending, according to Farmington police.
