Keely Stockham, 12, and her brother, Brody Stockham, 9, sell lemonade on Thursday at Keely's annual lemonade stand on the 900 block of North Orchard Avenue in Farmington. The Stockham siblings are donating proceeds from the stand to the American Cancer Society. This marks the fourth year that Keely has organized the lemonade stand. In the first three years, she raised $6,029.70. In the first two days of sales this year, the Stockham siblings have collected about $1,500. The final day of the fundraising is from noon to 5 p.m. today.
On Thursday, Keely Stockham showed a card that she and her brother, Brody, created. The card, signed by customers of Keely’s lemonade stand, will make an appearance at tonight’s Relay for Life event, and then it will be donated to the Connelly Hospitality House, which provides temporary housing for San Juan Regional Medical Center patients who live more than 50 miles from the hospital. More than half of the families staying at Connelly House are dealing with cancer.
