"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it's not!"ÉLorax.

The citizens in our communities and our county are caring, generous, and are passionate to help their neighbors, co-workers, and fellow community members. The 2012 United Way campaign wrapped up and once again, the citizens and businesses of San Juan County showed their benevolence by pledging over $3,300,000!

These funds will provide hot meals for seniors, after-school activities for children, medical assistance for single mothers, and safe shelter for families. The 18 agencies and their 45 programs funded by San Juan United Way will reach 45,000 San Juan County residents in 2013, improving lives in our communities.

As campaign co-chairs, we owe our sincere thanks to the many fine people who supported the campaign efforts-the United Way Board and Staff, the Campaign Cabinet, the many Day of Caring Volunteers, the staff and volunteers of the Partner Agencies and all of you who work to make a difference here in San Juan County.

And, again, thanks to all of you for making the 2012 United Way campaign a victory for you, your community, your county, and all of its citizens!

Scott Bird and Alli Bird Davis

San Juan United Way Campaign Co-chairs.
