Editor:

Thank you for helping to get the word out about the Boy Scout Food drive. It makes such a difference to the thousands of families we serve every month. The drive this year realized over 18,000 pounds of food for distribution to area families in crisis and 19 other non-profit feeding programs assisted by ECHO, Inc. Food Bank.

We appreciate the support of your readers! We have much to be thankful for in this year's drive. Many local businesses sponsored ads, posted reminders at their locations or hosted scouts and food collection barrels to support them in their efforts. Area churches joined in in helping to get the word out and hosting food drives as well. The community has been very generous for their neighbors in need and we wish we could personally thank every sponsor, scout, scout leader, parent and of course, each contributor!

ECHO, Inc. Food Bank, is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization assisting qualified low-income individuals and organizations engaged in feeding low-income individuals and families, providing 2.5 million pounds of food in northwest New Mexico to more than 15,000 individuals last year. Again, thank you for your support of area families in need Ð you all make such a difference in our community.
