FARMINGTON — San Juan County law enforcement are investigating a incident where two people were found dead near an Aztec home Monday afternoon.

San Juan County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched at 1:03 p.m. to 21 County Road 3133. Law enforcement officers found two people dead near the home, said Sheriff's Office Detective Lieutenant Cory Tanner.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

Tanner said a gun was found at the scene but would not comment if the weapon was related to the incident.

According to scanner traffic, the two victims were found with gunshot wounds. Tanner said he would wait to comment about the cause of death until after the scene is processed.

The Sheriff's Office is working on obtaining a search warrant for the home, Tanner said.
