Area residents can recycle their holiday trees in Farmington until Jan. 12.

Farmington Clean and Beautiful, a community non-profit division of the city's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department, will collect trees at Berg Park and Fire Station 5, according to a city press release.

Berg Park is located in the dirt lot behind Washington Federal Bank on the San Juan Boulevard. The fire station is on 30th Street near Butler Avenue.

Trees must be stripped of all holiday decorations before they can be recycled and turned into mulch for the parks and recreation department's use.
