AZTEC — Visitors to Riverside Park now have four fewer excuses not to stay in shape.
With funding provided by San Juan Regional Center in Farmington, four fitness stations were installed this week on the walking and running trails at the park, sprinting distance from the playground area.
"We're really pleased with this new amenity, which was made possible through a successful partnership with San Juan Regional Medical Center," said Aztec City Manager Joshua Ray in a news release. "The Riverside Park fitness stations underscore Aztec's top-quality facilities, and they demonstrate the city's commitment to enhancing the health and well-being of our community."
The calorie-burning stations offer proper technique for pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups and body tucks.
A ribbon cutting for the new stations will be at noon on May 2 at the park, 500 S. Light Plant Road. The public is invited.
