FARMINGTON — A conference to help women veterans navigate the work force is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 4 at the Red Lion Inn, 700 Scott Ave., Farmington.

Topics that will be addressed include benefits and improving job search skills. A group of professional women will talk about resume writing and give tips about interviewing.

Female veterans can ask questions and get advice from local employers about the current employment market. There will also be a presentation about dealing with stress and anxiety.

The conference is the result of collaboration between the New Mexico Department of Veterans' Services, the New Mexico Work force Connection, the New Mexico Behavioral Health Collaborative and Women Veterans of New Mexico.

Doors open for registration at 7 a.m. Free pastries, coffee and tea will be provided in the morning, along with lunch later in the day.

The conference is free. Preregistration is recommended.
